Two of my friends Tee & Jenny did this funny thing where you type your first name and "needs" in a Google search and see what you get. Do it for the whole fam! It's fun. First, I typed in "Mel needs" and got something that is NOT writable and something about Mel Gibson needing to stop drinking and then I tried Melissa-->
"Melissa needs a very strong, patient adoptive family who will be able to accept that it may take her a long time to come to trust and appreciate them.' Okay, I don't what that says about me but whatever!
"Steve needs to find a squirrel hitman." Huh?
"Alexis needs...to stop drawing on herself. ...a stable home with lots of patience and understanding. ...to be clued in on the new perspective." These people are whacked out!

Daughter of a Geometry Teacher
I was so proud of Alexis today when she bit off the top vertex of a triangular cracker and pointed out that it was now a TRAPEZOID! Holy cow! I was so excited. I mean, seriously, who thinks of that? Maybe Alex will carry on the family tradition, and like her Grandma and Mommy, become a math teacher. One can only hope!
P.S. For those mathematically challenged folk, a trapezoid is a quadrilateral that has one set of parallel sides (see a & b below).

Alexis Incredible!
This is what happens when I go Visiting Teaching and Steve plays with Alexis. She has so much fun with him. They watched The Incredibles and then Steve told Alex that he would give her two chocolate chips if she put on this costume. She was reluctant, but finally agreed.
I guess it was a little itchy. But what isn't for this kid?
Still scratching!
The brown recliner is a great backdrop.
